It was around this time last year that I took Maizey to her friends second birthday party. At the party they had a bouncy house with a little slide on it. What could be more perfect for a two year old birthday party, right? Her friends Dad is an avid outdoorsman and a bit of practical joker. He thought it would be fun to throw some fishing hoochies in the bouncy house for the kids to play with. Well, Maizey was terrified of them. What? You didn't love these little rubber, weird looking things flying at you while jumping? I don't get it either.
Anyhow, it seems that in the last year, sister has changed her mind. A few days ago we were outside doing some yard work (I was working, she was trying to stand exactly where I was raking) when she found a random bag FULL of hoochies laying on the ground.
My guess is that they got left out of Brians tackle box when he was cleaning and organizing it for the coming season (big business in this house). She ripped that bad boy open and before I knew what was happening she was elbows deep in these filthy little rubber fishing contraptions and WOW did she ever love them.
I no longer had to worry about her standing where I was raking, they kept her entertained for... a really, really long time. She calls them her Octopuses and they now live in her backpack. We have taken them with us almost every time we've left the house and thanks to a suggestion from our neighbor, she plans on taking them in the bath with her.
We have two rules 1) if they don't make it back to their home when finished - to the garbage they go. 2) Jace can't have them. (This does not make him happy).
Hey, whatcha got there?
Now Jace, this is what we call a hoochie
This is the part that looks like a head, you know what I mean?
Now, if you promise not to tell Mom, I will give you one....
There you go. But if anyone asks, you didn't get it from me.
Hmmm...so this is what we call a hoochie. I call this weird, but, strangely enough, kind of tasty looking...
Ya, I'm gonna give it a go...
So there. Jace is not allowed to have any hoochies and Maizey finds hoochies highly entertaining.
(There are a number of hoochie jokes that can accompany this post. Insert at your own will. I find them all funny. I am just not good enough to come up with them on my own. )
Maizey's a lil hoochie mama... LOVE IT, LOL :)
ReplyDeleteJace... you watch out for those hoochies... you may get hooked ;)
Super cute post Amy!
